Like a slave to the act, I continue to return to animation. Hand drawn films resulting from an addiction to drawing drive my practice. Through intense investigation and documentation, the impermanent and never ending flux of my approach to drawing allows a scene to play out or a process to be explored. There is a constant search for beauty, truth and meaning, both in the narratives created and the process itself.

I find animation to be the ultimate tool for storytelling. My narratives are autobiographical, metaphorical, and highly personal. Widely accessible through themes of love, loss, masculinity and the absurdity of the human condition, the ‘every man’ they depict is applicable to us all.
